Aerial class descriptions & requirements
Our group classes are $35 for a single class. We also have a wide array of class pass and membership options.
Aerial Pole
-
Beginner Aerial Pole
In this introductory class you’ll learn how to transfer your stationary pole skills to aerial pole. We’ll drill strategies to control the spin and orbit of the apparatus while mounting and exiting, climbing, inverting, and through holds and transitions. We'll condition strength and spin tolerance to develop a foundation for all your aerial pole goals.
Requirements: (From standard pole) comfortable standard climb and some spin pole experience. Wear tight-fitting athletic wear to prevent slipping; long leggings will help prevent pole burn but you may prefer shorts.
Aerial Hammock
-
Beginner Aerial Hammock
This is an introductory class to learn foundational skills on the aerial hammock aka aerial sling. Students will be taught basic wraps and how to connect them in short sequences. You’ll also get comfortable with hanging upside down and learn how to safely invert with the support of the hammock.
No experience necessary! Please wear tight-fitting athletic wear that covers your torso, arm pits, and the backs of your knees; avoid wearing jewelry.
-
Aerial Hammock Flow
In this class we will practice foundational skills for the hammock, learn different poses and transitions, work towards flowing through sequences and dancing to music.
Every 2 weeks we will learn a new sequence, and then spend the last part of class dancing it to music.
Requirements: Must be comfortable with basic entrances and wraps such as pull overs and straddle inversion from the floor. Please wear tight fitting athletic wear and long leggings. Avoid wearing jewelry as this can damage our equipment.
Lyra

Advanced Lyra
Advanced Lyra will continue to build off Intermediate skills and take it up a notch. This class will begin coaching more advanced spins, longer sequences, strength based power moves, spanset theory, and dynamic movement.
Requirements: Single knee hangs; pike mount OR straddle mount with no toe tagging/using ground to kick off; clean pullover and front balance; short arm hold (no feet on ground); long arm hang (no feet on ground) on the top of lyra with proper engagement and the ability to pike beat back to sitting on lyra; hands free half hip hang
